After her family went bankrupt, Mia was forced into a divorce by her husband Henry. Down and out, she gave her wedding ring and paid for a hotel stay for the homeless Arthur. Years later, Arthur rebuilt his life and became a wealthy tycoon, determined to repay Mia’s kindness.

He repeatedly rescued Mia from the harassment of Henry, Eve, and Ann. The two grew close and fell in love. After a kidnapping ordeal ended with the villains arrested, Arthur proposed again, and the two finally got married.
