Ji Xiaoyun, after catching her boyfriend cheating on her with her best friend, was mysteriously transported to the 1990s, inhabiting the body of another Ji Xiaoyun who shared her name. Dismissed by the troupe leader, she was forced to vacate the dormitory provided by the theater troupe. By a twist of fate, she ended up registering for marriage with Qiao Zhijie, a kind-hearted and honest man, and moved under the same roof with him.
Drawing on her modern mindset and resourcefulness, along with Qiao Zhijie's well-established family fortune, she eventually acquired the theater troupe and preserved and passed down the traditional art of puppetry. Meanwhile, Qiao Zhijie turned out to be a devoted husband and her fiercest protector. Her arrival brought excitement and color to his once predictable life.
