Penny and Elliot have been married for three years when she is suddenly betrayed by him and her best friend, Viola. Elliot suspects Penny isn't the woman who saved his life years ago. While struggling to pay her mother's medical bills, Penny is kidnapped and disfigured, after which Elliot demands a divorce. Though he covers the surgery costs, he forces Penny to work as a waitress at Buckingham, a shady men's club.
