Julian, a decorated soldier, came home to reunite with his sister Ruby. Instead, he found their mother dead and Ruby dying of kidney failure, needing a million for surgery. To save her, Julian became a bodyguard for Gianna, a cold, sharp-tongued heiress who tested him at every turn. He protected her through parking lot ambushes, falling debris, and a ticking bomb, all while facing threats from a vengeful rich kid Luke.

Gianna went from icy resistance to quiet trust as Julian saved her again and again, and her best friend Hailey fell for him too. After Ruby's surgery succeeded and every enemy fell, Julian's scars no longer needed hiding. Because he had found not just a job, but a home.
