He pushed me off the rescue boat I let his ashes go to the landfill

During the flood, Nora's fiancé Julian, in an effort to save Lily and her siblings, pushed Nora and her mother, who had just undergone heart surgery, off a rescue boat, leaving them stranded on the roof. Her mother was swept away by the floodwaters and died from an infection.

In despair, Nora was rescued by a helicopter sent by her father, and subsequently faked her death and went into hiding.
