The story

When CEO Stella Sterling visits her hometown, she finds her adoptive mother, Mildred Sterling, still favoring boys over girls. Her brother Wyatt Sterling and his wife Sierra Brooks only want her wealth. They scheme to force Stella to buy them a house and hand over her company, even staging a kidnapping of Stella and Mildred to extort her assets. To ensure Mildred's backing, Sierra fakes a pregnancy.
But Stella is one step ahead. Her bodyguards arrive just in time to turn the tables. Ultimately, Sierra Brooks, Wyatt Sterling, and Caleb Brooks are arrested for kidnapping and fraud. Stella cuts ties with Mildred, renames herself Nova Sterling, and leaves her bloodsucking family behind for good.
