"It started with a single, anonymous night. Gu Pianran and the powerful tycoon Fu Hanzhou had a chance encounter but parted ways without even seeing each other's faces. Soon after, Gu Pianran discovered she was pregnant. A difficult childbirth resulted in severe memory loss, erasing the father's identity from her mind. To shield her sister from the scandal of an unwed mother, Gu Pianran's sister made a heartbreaking choice: she placed the newborn baby in an orphanage. Meanwhile, Fu Hanzhou was under immense pressure from his gravely ill grandfather to finally marry and have an heir. Still searching for the mystery woman from that night, he decided to adopt a child to fulfill his family duty. By a twist of fate, he adopted his own son from the orphanage.

Years later, needing a mother for his son and a wife to present to his family, Fu Hanzhou arranged a casting call. Incredibly, the woman he chose was Gu Pianran. Each needing the legal status of marriage for their own personal reasons, they agreed to a secret arrangement: a contract marriage, hidden from the world. As they navigate their fake marriage, Fu Hanzhou is stunned to discover that his son is his biological child. He also finds himself developing real feelings for Gu Pianran, the woman he's only supposed to be pretending to love. But the road to happiness is blocked when he finds out she has given birth before, leading to a storm of jealousy and misunderstanding. Eventually, the truth unravels, and Fu Hanzhou realizes that his secret wife is the woman he's been searching for all along, and the biological mother of his son. With Gu Pianran's memories finally returning, they must confront their past to see if their secret arrangement can become a real family."
