Shen Jianxin and Xiao Jinglan loved each other. After marrying Xiao Jinglan, Shen Jianxin originally thought she would be very happy. However, Xiao Jinglan continuously requested to be sent on missions after the marriage, it caused the servants in the manor to feel that the prince didn't love her and they began to bully her. Xiao Jinlan's mother had always disliked her, thinking she was from the frontier and was crude and uncouth.
In order to win Xiao Jinglan's heart, Shen Jianxin began to learn how to behave like the noble young ladies of the capital, hiding her own nature. Three years into the marriage, Shen Jianxin was bullied in the prince's mansion because she had no child. Finally, when Xiao Jinglan returned victoriously, Shen Jianxin was happy, but just saw that a young woman was accompanying her husband.
