The story

Quick answer: 6 episodes, English original audio, and episodes 1–6 play right here tonight.

"Pei Zhizhi lost her vision in an accident that also made her an orphan.

Her uncle's family took her in—not out of kindness, but in hopes of claiming the inheritance her parents left behind. When they realized she genuinely didn't know where it was, they saw no further use for her. To secure a lavish bride price, they married off the blind girl to a dying wealthy merchant in need of a ""lucky wedding"" to revive his fortunes. On the wedding day, Fu Jiangning—the groom—miraculously woke from his coma. But before anything could begin, Pei Zhizhi was assaulted and struck on the head by her cousin, Pei Wan, at the ceremony. Rushed to the hospital, she passed right by Fu Jiangning, who, upon learning of the commotion, rejected the marriage outright and left the country without a second glance. Yet, the blow to her head came with an unexpected gift: her sight returned. But recovering her vision brought another shock—she accidentally witnessed her new mother-in-law in a compromising position with the family driver. Fearing for her safety, Pei Zhizhi made a choice: she would continue to play blind. Years passed. A dark horse enterprise shook the business world, securing a major construction bid. At the podium stood a striking, confident woman—Pei Zhizhi, in her element. Fu Jiangning, now back in the country, watched from the audience as a potential business partner. He was captivated at first sight. He had no idea she was the blind wife he had abandoned. At home, Pei Zhizhi played the part of a meek, plainly dressed little wife, confined to the house. In public, she was a legendary, decisive female CEO. Her uncle's family, still greedy for her inheritance, constantly harassed her, trying to force her to reveal where her parents' wealth was hidden. To protect her burgeoning career and investigate the truth, Pei Zhizhi maintained her blind disguise. Her aunt and uncle, believing she couldn't see, brazenly stole from her right under her nose. But Fu Jiangning's sudden return disrupted everything. Pei Zhizhi had planned to drop the act—she was powerful enough now to protect herself. Then she overheard Pei Wan let slip a devastating secret: the accident that killed her parents wasn't an accident at all. It was deliberate. To uncover the truth and keep her uncle's family off guard, she had to stay ""blind."" But as a ""blind"" woman, she needed a legal guardian. Terrified that her uncle would gain control over her and restrict her movements, she refused to divorce Fu Jiangning, despite his clear desire to end their marriage. Frustrated, Fu Jiangning simply stopped coming home. Through business dealings, he grew increasingly drawn to the mysterious female CEO who wore a different face—not knowing she was the very wife he wanted to leave. The more he fell for her, the more determined he became to divorce his ""blind"" wife so he could pursue this new love freely. But as he pressed harder, strange coincidences piled up. A chilling suspicion took root: was the woman he loved... the same woman he'd left behind? Unable to shake the thought, Fu Jiangning moved back home to test his theory. He changed clothes in front of her, placed obstacles in her path, watching for any flicker of recognition. Pei Zhizhi, inwardly exasperated, played along—a maddening game of cat and mouse with the man who unknowingly held the key to her secrets. Meanwhile, her uncle's family grew desperate. Pei Wan's hopes of marrying into wealth were fading. In a final, reckless move, they plotted to harm Pei Zhizhi. She appeared oblivious—but she was ready. She had laid the perfect trap. By putting herself in danger, she finally gathered the evidence of the long-ago murder. Her uncle and his family got exactly what they deserved: the full weight of the law. Her mission complete and her business empire thriving alongside Fu Jiangning, Pei Zhizhi was finally ready to reveal the truth. She confessed everything to him—and asked for a divorce. But by then, Fu Jiangning was hopelessly in love with her. The tables had turned completely. Now it was Pei Zhizhi pushing for separation, and Fu Jiangning launching a full-blown ""win her back"" crusade, determined to prove that some fires—no matter how long banked—are worth the burn."
