Julian Slade finds himself transported back in time to the eve of the apocalypse, just before the Cambrian Era. Previously betrayed and murdered by his gold-digging wife, he is now determined to change his fate and seek vengeance. As the apocalypse arrives, the world plunges into chaos, with temperatures plummeting and the earth undergoing catastrophic changes.
Yet, Julian appears to have had prior insight. Leveraging his knowledge of the coming apocalypse and his own ingenuity, he steadily ascends in this new Cambrian apocalyptic realm, rising from utter destitution to the esteemed City Lord.
