Fake Play Turns True Love

After the car accident, I woke up in the hospital and decided to tease my boyfriend. “Who are you?” I expected Lucas to panic and beg me to remember him. Instead, he pointed at his best friend, Dorian West. “He’s your boyfriend.” I heard the truth that same night. Lucas thought my amnesia was the perfect chance to take a break from me and enjoy his new girl.

He told Dorian to pretend to be my boyfriend until my memory returned. He was certain I loved him too much to ever leave. So I played along. I kissed Dorian in front of him. I slept in Dorian’s bed. And when Lucas finally wanted his girlfriend back, I smiled and told him the truth. I had never lost my memory.
