The Wind Remembers

On the day the Sacred Tree died, my family sent me to the Blight Prison.

Meris knelt among the cracked roots, shaking with sobs. "Seren stole the Moon Dew Stone. She poured blight toxin into the sacred spring. I saw her!" My father, Edryn, looked at me in shock. My mother, Eirwen, would not meet my eyes. My brother, Tarin, fastened silver chains around my wrists, sealing my moon-vein. "Why would you do this?" he asked. I said nothing.
