The story

Quick answer: 70 episodes, English original audio, and episodes 1–10 play right here tonight.

At the onset of supernatural unrest, Jiang Chen, a student at Jiangbei University of Finance and Economics—a prestigious university in northern Jiang City—encountered the ominous "Phantom Knocker" and accidentally awakened the Monster Morphing System. From a hair-raising start where he hurled a malicious ghost off the twelfth floor, to delving deeper into the world of eccentric mystics to battle paranormal forces and the Dark Alliance, Jiang Chen relied on his calm and decisive nature, as well as an endless array of demon cards with extraordinary powers.

Together with his allies—Zhao Erhu, a Buddhist monk with a strong sense of justice, and Chen Xue, a mysterious figure with ties to the underworld—Jiang Chen steadily grew stronger, harnessing spectral energy and sharpening his abilities. Confronted with the schemes of despicable villains like Zheng Shaoming and Qin Ze, as well as the menacing threats posed by vengeful spirits and half-formed malevolent spirits, Jiang Chen used his supernatural powers to unravel sinister mysteries and his wits to vanquish evil. What began as a journey of a reluctant survivor thrust into a supernatural world transformed into the rise of a formidable protector, determined to shield those he cared for from the encroaching darkness.
