The Don's Runaway Bride: The Name That Wasn't Isabella

Episode 8 · English · 50 episodes

The story

Alina has spent ten years in exile, cast out by her stepmother Katherine. Now Katherine drags her back for a single purpose: to hand Alina's engagement to mafia don Luke over to her half-sister Isabella.

On the road home, a stranger forces his way into her room and stages a closeness she never agreed to, using her as cover from men hunting him. He offers to repay the debt. She gives him a false name, guarding herself. He tracks her down anyway, and when she throws Luke's name at him as a shield, he answers with a kiss. At the engagement banquet, the name read aloud is not Isabella's. It is Alina's. And the man who steps forward to dance with her is Luke himself. What does he already know about the night she lied, and what will he do with it? Katherine's summons is not a welcome home but a trade: Alina's engagement handed to Isabella. A stranger's staged intimacy leaves Alina with a debt and a lie she cannot take back. She uses Luke's name to push him away, and he kisses her instead of retreating. At the banquet, the announced bride is Alina, and the man who takes her hand is the one she fled.
