Seven years ago, Freya and vampire lord Julian fell in love. Pureblood Matriarch Clara threatened their unborn child, forcing Freya to fake her death and betray him. Julian became a ruthless tyrant.
Freya escaped to Blackthorn Town, gave birth to twins Zane and Zoe, but was left disfigured and blind by toxic miasma. Dying, the children use their father's token to seek help—exposing them. Clara hunts them down. Julian rushes, drawn by the token—only to find his own mother about to kill his kids.
