Titan Group is closest to success—thanks to chief engineer and world-class hacker Bryan Smith. But on acting chairwoman Alexandra Sloan’s first day, she mistakes Bryan for a useless connection hire and fires him for sleeping after an all-nighter. She elevates fraudulent engineer Ryan Smith instead. Ryan steals Bryan’s identity as “XOmaster,” his technology, and his achievements, even accusing Bryan of theft. He builds his own mech: Savior. At the global launch, Ryan activates Titan—but a flaw Bryan warned about causes it to go out of control. The monsters return. Bryan activates Savior, overwhelms Titan, and turns the tide. Sloan realizes she threw away Titan’s greatest asset—and humanity’s real savior. Titan goes bankrupt. Bryan secures a military partnership and gets engaged to Alice.
