Quick answer: 10 episodes, English original audio, and episodes 1–10 play right here tonight.

Su Nian is the biological daughter in a rich-family true-and-fake daughter novel, yet she is also the tormented heroine trapped by the story’s plot. Raised in an orphanage, her only friend was her bestie Lin Xiaoxiao. Lin Xiaoxiao passed away three years ago. After Su Nian was brought home by her birth family, the Su Clan, she thought she finally had a family — only to find herself outshone in every way by the fake daughter Su Wanrou. Her parents favoured Su Wanrou, her elder brother loathed her, and her husband Gu Yanchuan hated her to the bone. At the family recognition banquet half a year prior, Su Nian was drugged and had a one-night stand with Gu Yanchuan. Forced to marry into the Gu family, she was branded a schemer who drugged a man to coerce marriage.

She lost her six-month pregnancy, hitting rock bottom. Overwhelmed by despair, she went to Lin Xiaoxiao’s grave and tried to slit her wrists. Just as the blade was about to cut her skin, an explosion erupted at Lin Xiaoxiao’s grave. Her best friend, who had been dead for three years, crawled out of the tomb. It turned out Lin Xiaoxiao had run up a 30-billion-yuan loan shark debt in the underworld, and she put down Su Nian as the guarantor when borrowing the money. To pay off the debt, she returned to Su Nian’s side as a “system”. Only Su Nian could see and hear her.
