Love Against the Way of Heaven

Xie Wusheng, the 36th-generation Celestial Master of Qingwei Mountain, had cultivated Taoism for a thousand years and was just one step away from ascending to immortality. However, his disciple Fang Li, who possessed a Seven Orifices Exquisite Heart, died to save him. Grief-stricken, Xie Wusheng secluded himself for years. By chance, he divined that Fang Li—now reincarnated—faced danger in this life.

To protect her, he defied the Heavenly Way, crossing a rift to descend to the mortal world. Forcibly entering the mortal realm, Xie Wusheng was struck by heavenly tribulation, transforming into a child’s form. He collapsed at Fang Li’s doorstep and was taken in by her.
