Song Yaozhi’s simple life shatters when her fiancé, Xiao Chongxuan, is murdered before her eyes—falsely accused by Bai Ningshuang, the prime minister’s vicious daughter. Swearing vengeance, Yaozhi learns that Bai Ningshuang’s greatest desire is to marry Crown Prince Zhao Xuance. Yaozhi’s path is clear: she will become the crown princess herself. Transforming her identity, she infiltrates the prince’s world. When she finally reaches Zhao Xuance—a prince in hiding, cursed and in need of a unique remedy—their connection is instant and deep. Through cunning and courage, she wins his trust and his heart, turning him against the woman who destroyed her life. Just as her revenge is within grasp, her world fractures again.

Xiao Chongxuan returns, not dead but a powerful general. Simultaneously, political pressure forces Zhao Xuance to cruelly cast Yaozhi aside to protect her, a truth she cannot see. Betrayed, broken, and after a tragic loss that steals her unborn child, Yaozhi chooses to disappear, leaving everyone to believe she is dead. Believing he has lost her forever, a grief-stricken Zhao Xuance exacts bloody vengeance on her enemies. For three years, he searches relentlessly. Their reunion is not a happy one; it begins a long and painful journey of atonement, where the prince must prove his love was never a lie, even at the cost of his own life. From a quest for revenge to a discovery of love, from the depths of betrayal to the hard-won peace of forgiveness, this is a story where the coldest frost gives way to the most resilient blossom.
