The story

Verena Fowler was ready to share the joyous news of her pregnancy with her husband, Colin Hughes, but instead, she witnessed him accompanying the pregnant Sadie Scott. It was a shocking revelation. At her mother-in-law's birthday party, she endured unprecedented humiliation and had a fierce argument with Colin, fueled by Sadie's scheming. Overwhelmed by these blows, she resolved to divorce and leave her past behind. Her brother, Darren, appeared at the critical moment to take her home. However, upon waking, she was devastated to learn of her miscarriage.

To help Verena regain her spirit, the Fowler family arranged for her to host a business cocktail party. Unexpectedly, she encountered the Hughes family and Sadie again. Sadie tried every possible way to embarrass Verena, but Verena countered each attempt with newfound confidence and poise, leaving Colin stunned. Everyone mistakenly believed that Verena was Darren's mistress, leading the Hughes family to make things difficult for her. It wasn't until the end that people realized Verena was the eldest daughter of the Fowler family. Only then did Colin understand his misunderstanding of Verena, but it was too late; the damage was irreparable.
