Margaret Sullivan's baby was abandoned, leaving only half a jade pendant. Years later, she scavenged to find her child while Oliver Sullivan went to college. Now battling cancer, Margaret attends Oliver Sullivan's wedding. To marry into her family, Oliver Sullivan claimed his mom was abroad and chased her away, unknowingly keeping her medical report.

Later, Margaret shares her story. Elena Sinclair recognizes her but faces doubts. Soon, Elena Sinclair's husband William Thorne arrives. Elena Sinclair ruins Lancaster Technologies and leaves with Margaret, leaving Oliver Sullivan kneeling in remorse.
