Emma Bennett drops out of school to work as a cafeteria lady in a factory, all to cover her mother's medical bills. Being mute, she faces constant discrimination and frame-ups. Mason Grant is a cold, aloof CEO. The two, who were never meant to cross paths, end up together by chance. Emma is terrified to find she's pregnant.

Strangely enough, Mason suddenly develops a telepathic connection with her and can even read her mind. From then on, every thought in Emma's heart is heard by him. At last, she has someone to rely on and cherish. No longer bullied, she is doted on and treasured like a precious pearl by Mason—yet new dangers are already on the horizon…
