Mistook the Empress for a Maid — I'm No Peerless Sage
Episode 3 · English · 9 episodes
The story
Ye Ping transmigrated to the Nine Firmaments Continent ten years ago, trapped by a bug-ridden “Mortal Peak Cultivation System”. His cultivation was stuck at the 99,999th layer of the Qi Refining Stage, yet the system still labeled him a “trash”. This shattered his confidence. All he wanted was to join a cultivation sect as a handyman, so he could reach Foundation Establishment and escape his mortal identity. One day, Ji Lengyue, Empress of the Xuantian Sect, was ambushed. Gravely wounded during her tribulation transcendence, she crashed down on Misty Hidden Mountain, where Ye Ping lived. Mistaking her for a beggar, Ye Ping saved her with a bowl of “chicken soup” — which was actually divine medicine made of true phoenix blood. He casually tossed a brick he used to prop up his table, smashing the villain and heavenly thunder.
Stunned by this “godly feat”, Ji Lengyue believed Ye Ping was a reclusive supreme sage and invited him to join Xuantian Sect. Ye Ping thought he had landed a job in the cultivation world and gladly accepted. His plain-looking mutt Dahei was in fact the ancient Devouring Sky Demon Lord. The rusty knife he used for chopping vegetables was a shard of the Pangu Axe. The “sweet potatoes” he grew on the hillside were Nine Yang Flame Sacred Tubers. During the entry test, afraid he might damage the spirit stone, he handled it gently — only to instantly shatter the Spirit Measuring Stele. The whole sect hailed him as a genius with a Chaos Physique, while Ye Ping simply thought the ancient device was broken.
