Colette, a vampire doctor, is humilated by her fiancé Colten, she just walks out. In a restroom, she finds Evander, wounded and hunted, and risks everything to save him. He is Colten's uncle, a vampire prince. He protects her in secret, clears every scheme against her, and moves her into Norton Manor to care for his mother. Evander exposes Colten's affairs and forces a public apology, and she cuts ties with the Norton family.

When her father Gary attacks her, Evander's bodyguard ends it. Colette learns Evander carries a patricide shadow, and remembers saving him as a child. Their feelings surface. She asks about the past. He finally confirms she remembers...
