"Fortune-teller Shen Zhinan transmigrates into the world of Tianyuan Kingdom, becoming its cross-dressing female national preceptor. Discovering that her tarot cards can reveal others' favorability levels, she prepares to enjoy a life of luxury—until the emperor uncovers her true gender. Blackmailed with her life, she is ordered to seduce the second prince, Lu Guizhou, who has secluded himself in a temple, and persuade him to return to secular life to produce an heir. Shen Zhinan obeys and approaches Lu Guizhou, unaware that he has long harbored feelings for the male-disguised preceptor. Mistaking her for a decoy sent by the crown prince, Lu Guizhou treats her with contempt. During a grand sacrificial ceremony, the crown prince stages a military coup. Shen Zhinan inadvertently foils the plot, but in the chaos, she is gravely injured and nearly exposed as a woman before being rescued by Lu Guizhou.

The emperor then assigns her as Lu Guizhou’s maid—under the guise of continuing her seduction mission. While on a disaster relief mission, Shen Zhinan uncovers a scheme involving fake refugees, deepening their bond. The crown prince sets a trap, first coercing her with an aphrodisiac, then sabotaging the antidote ingredients. To obtain the cure, Shen Zhinan pretends to betray Lu Guizhou, skillfully maneuvering through a celebratory banquet to secure the antidote and expose the rebellion. With the conspiracy thwarted, Lu Guizhou is named crown prince, and Shen Zhinan reclaims her position as national preceptor before marrying him in a grand ceremony. The story concludes as the couple purges the court of corruption, ushering in a prosperous era—a romantic legend that evolves from political intrigue to genuine love. "
