Cyrus, a legendary Grand Mechanic, sacrificed himself to save 100,000 lives—and woke up as a "Gearless," a mocked laborer with no license or steam implants. His fiancée Beatrix fights alone to keep her late father's workshop from greedy nobles. At the guild ceremony, Cyrus casually cracks an unsolvable puzzle with a single brass nut. Noble heir Gideon rigs a duel to seize the workshop. Beatrix fights—and wins—on Cyrus's silent hand signals.

Then airship king Vance invades, obsessed with destroying the Grand Mechanic's legacy. Cyrus unleashes his dormant genius, dismantling war machines and outwitting every foe. In the final showdown, Cyrus reveals his identity, summons the mythic "God Array," and crushes Vance's ultimate automaton. Guild masters beg him to return. But Cyrus turns only to Beatrix—as their steam‑powered hearts resonate, the Gearless finally rises.
